CPAC Day 2:

This morning members of the University of Georgia College Republicans rose early  to hear from our leaders from the US Congress and the US Senate. Senator John Cornyn(R-TX), chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, talked about how we can gain more seats in the US Senate while sticking to the principles that we value so highly. For an 8AM appearance he had the ballroom excited and motivated to work even harder over the next two years.

UGA College Republicans visit the Capitol

This morning members of the chapter traveled to the US Captiol to visit our elected officials. We started the visit by meeting with Congressman Tom Price(GA-12).

“Bailout Bucks”–College Students Oppose the Economic Stimulus

On Tuesday, members of the chapter gathered in the Tate Student Center to distribute “bailout bucks”(pictured on the left) to students, staff and faculuty. The members also gathered signatures for a petition opposing the economic stimulus package that the United States Senate is currently debating.

We decided to pass out these “bailout bucks” becuase we felt it was paramount that we inform our fellow College Students about the tremendous size–$1 Trillion (1,000,000,000,000)–of the stimulus package. Outside of the sheer cost of [...]
