Senior Banquet Featuring Rep. Doug McKillip

As the semester comes to a close it is time for us to take time to celebrate our accomplishments this year as well as honor those seniors leaving us.

This week the UGA College Republicans will be having dinner at DePalma’s downtown in their private dining room on Thursday, April 28th, at 7:00pm.

College Republican seniors will be honored and state representative Doug McKillip will be speaking to wrap up the end of the state legislative session.

Mark Rountree Speaks

This week we are excited to have political consultant and President of Landmark Communications Mark Rountree speaking with us.

Mr. Rountree is a graduate of the University of Georgia and will be speaking about his transition into the political world from college, upcoming redistricting, and its impacts on the 2012 election.

This meeting will be held this Thursday, April 21st, at 7:00pm in MLC 150.

Oglethorpe County GOP: GAGOP Chairman Debate

This week we will be car-pooling to the Oglethorpe County GOP Meeting to hear the candidates for GAGOP Chair speak.

We will be leaving Athens around 6:00pm on Thursday, April 14th.

Forum with College Republicans and Young Democrats

This week the UGACRs will be co-hosting a forum with the UGA Young Democrats to discuss the recent changes to the HOPE scholarship as well as the immigration bill which is currently before the Georgia General Assembly.

This meeting will be held this Thursday, April 7th, at 7:00pm in MLC 150.

Dr. Marietta Speaks

This week we are pleased to have Dr. Morgan Marietta, professor of political science, speaking with us. Dr. Marietta will be speaking on and holding an open-floor discussion over healthcare, Egypt, 2012 and the potential impact on the Republican Party.

This meeting will take place this Thursday, February 3rd, at 7:00pm in MLC 150. *Please note that this is a different time and location from last semester.
