This week’s meeting will feature a panel of State Representatives Doug McKillip (GA-115) and Chuck Williams (GA-113), and State Senator Bill Cowsert (GA-46).
They will be discussing redistricting and other state issues. Afterward, you will have a chance to meet and speak with each of these state legislators. This will give you a chance to ask questions or to discuss future internships or campaign involvement.

In continuing observance of the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, Dr. Morgan Marietta will be speaking on the effects of 9/11 seen in America today. Dr. Marietta is a political science professor here at UGA and has studied the events and the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks.

The UGA College Republicans will be hosting a viewing party for the GOP Presidential Debate at the Reagan Library in Simi Valley, California. The debate starts at 8:00PM, but we are asking everyone to arrive at 7:30PM so that we will be ready to go once the debate starts. **This week’s meeting will be in MLC 214. After a crowd of over 100 showed up for the first meeting, we are excited to be hosting another great event on Wednesday, August 31, at 7:00 in MLC Room 348. TAILGATING! - So why not tailgate with the top of the Republican Ticket.
This Saturday from 9:30 AM until 12:00PM, Senator Isakson, Secretary Kemp, and the next Governor of Georgia, Nathan Deal, will be hosting an awesome tailgate event at the Wray Nicholson House. There will be refreshments served.
