<B>Dr. Ralph Reed</B>, Candidate for Lieutenant Governor for Georgia, will address the University of Georgia College Republicans on Wednesday April 27, 2005 at 7:30 in room 102 of the Student Learning Center.<P>

Dr. Reed was the Executive Director of the Christian Coalition from 1989 to 1997. He was also the Chairman of the Republican Party of Georgia during the 2002-2003-campaign season under which both houses of legislature came under Republican control and the first Republican governor since reconstruction was elected. Most recently, Dr. Reed was the head of the Bush/Cheney southeastern re-election campaign.<P>

Dr. Reed has addressed the UGA College Republicans in the past but never before as a candidate for political office. He is expected to speak on his new campaign for Lieutenant Governor. This event is free and open to the public.<br>
