Last Wednesday the first meeting of the semester for the University of Georgia College Republicans drew a standing-room only crowd and a variety of distinguished guests from Georgia politics including U.S. Congressional Representative Paul Broun along with State Senator Bill Cowsert. Sue Everhart, the GOP State Chairman, gave a sincere and thoughtful address to the group, encouraging students to take an active interest in politics and fight for what they believe in. The meeting concluded as attendees rushed to sign up for committees and team leadership positions, welcoming the chance to help make a difference in local, state, and national politics.
Our next meeting features what will certainly be a rousing night of political trivia; come out and enjoy the company and competition.
