Former State Senator for the Athens area Brian Kemp is running for Secretary of State. He is here sharing a vision for the future for the State of Georgia, and what he wants to do for the office of Secretary of State. Christie Haynes, Kemp Staffer and UGA CR Member, will also be on hand to share her experience with College Republicans.

While he was in the State Senate he served on the Agriculture, Appropriations, Higher Education, and Public Safety Committees. In 2006, he sought the Republican Nomination for Agriculture Commissioner, a campaign in which he was able to raise $800,000 and build a large grassroots network.  Brian Kemp is a lifelong resident of Athens, and also a graduate of UGA. Him and his wife Marty have three daughters.
