This week, representatives from the National Rifle Association and Georgia Carry will be speaking to UGACRs.

The meeting will take place on Wednesday, October 19 at 7:00PM in MLC 214.

This week, the UGACRs welcome Dr. Charles Bullock.

Dr. Bullock is a long esteemed teacher and scholar of political science at the University of Georgia.

In 2011, he was listed by Georgia Trend as one of the Top 100 Most Influential Georgians.

He will be speaking about the recent redistricting in Georgia, the 2012 election, and the date of Georgia’s Presidential Primary.

The meeting will take place on Wednesday, October 12 in MLC 214 at 7:00PM.

This week the UGA College Republicans are proud to welcome U.S. Congressman Rob Woodall. He represents the constituents of the Seventh Congressional District of Georgia.

Rep. Woodall serves on the U. S. House Budget Committee and the House Committee on Rules. His signature legislation is his sponsorship of H.R. 25, the FairTax.

The meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 28 at 7:00pm in MLC Room 214.

Also, we will providing free ice cream and toppings and as always we will be eating out after the meeting.

This week’s meeting will feature a panel of State Representatives Doug McKillip (GA-115) and Chuck Williams (GA-113), and State Senator Bill Cowsert (GA-46).

They will be discussing redistricting and other state issues. Afterward, you will have a chance to meet and speak with each of these state legislators. This will give you a chance to ask questions or to discuss future internships or campaign involvement.

Food and drink will be provided. This is a great opportunity to get to know the individuals that represent the Athens area.
